Towing Basics

Understanding the ins and outs of towing is essential if you want to maximize your truck's power. Fortunately, we're happy to help. Before you hit the road, there are certain things you should consider. While you're on the road, you need to be wary of important points so that your journey will be smoother and more reliable.

Things to Consider

Check the following trailer features and ensure they're working properly before you leave, and if you take a break while you're on the road.

  • Brakes: Electronically Controlled Brakes, Electric-Over-Hydraulic Trailer Brakes, and Surge Brakes
  • Trailer Lamps
  • Safety Chains
  • Trailering Wiring Harness

Trailer Hitch

Trailer hitches can be separated into four categories. Each offers its own approach toward hauling your trailer and can be configured on specific vehicles.
